ABOUT

Hello! My name is Lizzie and I started the Parade of Lights in Spokane Valley, WA in 2021.

I recognized how the pandemic is affecting the mental health of our community. After researching how I could make a difference, I knew holiday lights were the answer.  I want to bring joy and cheer to as many people as possible. I am confident that even if we start small, with the support and commitment from my Girl Scout troop and other organizations, we can help this parade grow over years and become a fun tradition!

This event is also the project I have chosen as my Gold Award, which is the highest achievement in Girls Scouts. I will have put over 80 hours into coordinating the Parade of Lights and plan to continue coordinating each year until the younger scouts in my troop are ready to take on coordinating it in the future.

The Parade of Lights will be available to watch LIVE on Facebook and view on YouTube after the event in December.
